TWO pets were rescued after flat in Bradford caught fire yesterday (Monday).
Firefighters were called at 4.35pm yesterday to the scene of a flat fire on Ribbleton Grove in the Barkerend area of Bradford.
A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said that the kitchen of the flat was "fully involved" in fire.
The spokesperson added: "No people were injured or rescued, but one dog and one cat were brought to safety by fire service personnel.
"Smoke alarms had actuated in the property.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire."
Firefighters from Bradford and Fairweather Green fire stations were in attendance at the scene.
