NEW bus lane regulations are being introduced in Manningham, Bradford Council has revealed.

The Moving Traffic Consolidation Order, which comes into effect today (Friday April 19), is for the A650 Manningham Lane and Keighley Road at the following points:

* Bus with Flow Lane on Drewton Road to its junction with the projected south eastern kerbline of Marlborough Road.

* Bus with Flow Lane between 3pm-6.30pm Monday to Friday on the length of Manningham Lane.

* Bus with Flow Lane permitted vehicles: Buses, Licensed Taxis, Pedal Cycles and Motorcycles on the length of Manningham Lane.

Other public notices announced by Bradford Council are:

* Closure of a footpath in Thornton due to the likelihood of danger to the public.

Pedestrians are prohibited on or near Footpath No.34 (Bradford West), Thornton, from its junction with Thornton Road to Cragg Lane. Alternative routes for pedestrians will be via Cragg Lane, Footpath No.32 (Bradford West), Thornton Road and vice versa. The order lasts until 6pm on October 10.

* Temporary closure of Back Lane, Clayton Heights, for gas works. The order affects the length of Back Lane from its junction with Highgate Road to its junction with Julian Drive. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative traffic routes will be via Back Lane (unaffected section), Baldwin Lane, Highgate Road and vice versa. The order began this week, until 6pm on May 3.

* Closure of Footpath N0.67(Bradford Southern), Euroway Industrial Estate, Bradford, because of the likelihood of danger to the public. The order will affect Footpath No.67 from its junction with Roysdale Way to its junction with Footpath No.68(Bradford Southern) and its junction with Mill Carr Hill Road. There will be no alternative routes for pedestrians. The order remains in force until 6pm on May 29.

* Temporary closure at Leeds Road, Eccleshill, for telecommunication works. The order affects Leeds Road from its junction with Harrogate Road to a point outside No. 109 Leeds Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative traffic routes will be via Leeds Road (unaffected section), Fagley Road, Killinghall Road, Harrogate Road and vice versa. The order will be in effect from 9.30am to 3.30pm on April 22, 23 and 24.
